Garden waste is collected and delivered to TMA where it is shredded and windrowed. These windrows are constantly monitored and moved to aerate them as necessary. The high temperatures and moist conditions sustained during managed composting ensure that the weed seeds and any plant and human pathogens are destroyed. Once the composting process is complete it is screened to the desired particle size then delivered to the customer.

Compost is a different product to farm manures, it is a product in it's own right. Compost's organic matter and nitrogen are in stable forms and safe to use in the environment with many beneficial properties. Compost not only provides valuable organic matter but also acts as a slow release supply of nitrogen, phosphate, magnesium and sulphur and provides a readily available source of potash.
